FRONIE JONES

ADA-Services for Fronie Inez Jones, 88, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng.

Mrs. Jones died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at a local nursing home. She was born November 1, 1921 at Francis, Oklahoma to Lee and Bell Gunter Rhoades. She attended school at Francis and Jones Chapel.

She married Melvin Jones on April 11, 1936. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1980. They were married for 44 years. Mrs. Jones was a waitress and earlier had worked in the shipyards in California and in harvest work.

Survivors include two daughters, Johnnie Graham, Ada, and Earlene Latimer and husband Clay, Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Fran Reeves, Minco; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, Melvin (Sonny) Jones, Jamie Jones, and Blanche Pigeon; grandson, Randy Graham on February 28, 2010; three brothers, one sister, and a great granddaughter, April Michelle Graham.

Bearers will be grandsons, Hank Jones, Tracy Jones, Troy Jones, and Craig Latimer; and two great grandsons, David Rios and Justin Booth. Honorary bearers are great grandsons, Trae Graham, Cole Booth, Lane Scott, Dax Jones, and Jake Jones, and a great niece, Kim Baird.
