Freda Burns

Graveside services for Freda Mae Burns, 79, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Pryor Cemetery at Stuart, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate.

Mrs. Burns passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at an Ada hospital. She was born July 11, 1938 at Stuart to Theodore and Tinnie Southern Dunn. She graduated from high school at Ashland.

She married Jimmy Dale Burns April 13, 1955. He preceded her in death March 6, 2009. Mrs. Burns retired as a secretary at JP Emco. She had also been a secretary at Central Church of Christ. Mrs. Burns had a longtime affiliation with the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Larry Dale Burns and wife Martha of Ada; a granddaughter, Tiffany Castleberry and husband Aaron of Edmond; great-granddaughter Kendall Castleberry; one sister, Linda Orr and husband Floyd of Eufaula; a brother, Donald Dunn and wife Evelyn of McAlester; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim; and a daughter, Pam.
