BILL NIMS, JR.
ADA-In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held for Fred William "Bill" Nims, Jr., 88, Ada.
Mr. Nims died Monday, May 2, 2011 at his home. He was born September 9, 1922 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Fred W. Nims, Sr. and Lee Woodul Carmichael Nims.
He married his high school sweetheart, Margaret (Peggy) Gilreath on January 8, 1943 in Ardmore. He graduated from East Central University and was associated with Dierks Lumber and Weyerhaeuser Company as a sales representative. Mr. Nims was a single-engine pilot and instructor during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyerterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Nims, of the home; and his daughter, Marilyn Nims, Ada.
He was preceded in death by his son, Fred William Nims, III.
The family says those who wish may make memorial to honor his memory to the Nims Scholarship Fund, c/o East Central Foundation, P. O. Box Y, Ada, OK 74821; or any animal protection agency of choice.
