OCOEE, FL-Memorial services for Frankie Jean DeMoss, 74, of Ocoee, Florida, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate.
Mrs. DeMoss died Friday, April 3, 2015 in Ocoee, FL. She was born August 18, 1940 in Sulphur to Wetzell Lee "Lucky" May and Dorothy Pearl "Tyncy" Wilson May. She was later adopted and raised by her maternal grandparents, Gene and Frankie Wilson. She grew up and attended Sulphur schools.
She married James DeMoss of Sulphur on February 2, 1957. He preceded her in death December 5, 1983. She lived in Ada for several years and then moved to Florida. While in Florida, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4305 in Winter Garden, FL.
Survivors include her four children, Barbara Heath and husband Don, Ocoee, FL, James Jr. (Jay) DeMoss and wife Cindy, Ada, Ed DeMoss and wife Sandra, Ada and Wanda DeMoss, Ada; her mother, Dorothy "Tyncy" Childs, Sulphur; a brother, Jack Childs, Sulphur; sister, Patty Childs, Sulphur; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James DeMoss; brother, Forrest Clifford "Butch" Childs; and two grandsons, Bobby Ray Copeland and Russel Don Copeland.
