FRANCES WOOD
ADA- Services for Frances J. Wood, 87, of Ada are 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Susan Ayers officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Wood died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born June 5, 1926 in Roff, Oklahoma to France Henderson and Myrtle Arbel Shackleford McKinney. She attended Eubanks, Pleasant Hill and Clarita schools. She married L.K. Wood October 21, 1943 and he preceded her in death November 26, 2003. Mrs. Wood worked at Jan Frances Nursing Home over 20 years and attended the Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Wood and wife Teresa, Ada; Mike Wood and wife Kim, Bartlesville, OK; Rickey Wood, Sentinel, OK; daughter, Nancy "Janey" Sanders and husband Herbert, Tupelo; twelve grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Wood; sister, Wanda Murphy; and two great grandchildren.
Bearers are grandsons, Michael Wood, Johnathan Wood, Brandon Wood, Keith Wood, Brian Wood, Lendon Wood and Rickey Wood .
