Frances Braddock.

Services are pending for Frances Marie Braddock, age 87, of Ada.

Frances passed away at home Saturday, December 8, 2018, with her family near her side. She very much wanted to stay on their farm to the very end. She was born in the Redland/Idabel area on October 23, 1931 to Patrick (Pat) and Ruby Snell. She attended school in the Idabel area until her family moved to Fittstown, Oklahoma.

Frances met and married her husband of 63 years, John Braddock, while working as a waitress in a small café in Fittstown. She was a very hard worker her entire life, having worked at the Wrangler plants in Ada, Coalgate, and Seminole for many years. At age 36, she graduated with honors from beauty school and then owned and operated her own salon in Stonewall. She also worked at Flex-n-gate in Ada for some years, but still found time to grow a large garden to share with others. She found it very hard to actually ever retire!

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Braddock of Midwest City, and four sisters, Faye Robinson from Tucson, Arizona, Edie Utesch of Euless, Texas, Patricia Thompson from Ada, Oklahoma, and Phyllis Williamson of Stonewall, Oklahoma. Frances was also blessed with 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. All family lovingly called her "Honey".

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John Braddock in 2017, a son David Braddock in 2013, daughter Wanda (Weji) Thomson in 2018, and a grandson, Bobby Thomson.
