Obituary

Graveside services for Ferman Loren Traylor, 65, of Allen are 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Allen Cemetery, Rev. Ed Rutherford will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday.

Mr. Traylor passed away January 1, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Ada.  He was born April 20, 1958 in Coalgate to Tommie and Addie Bea Lawson Traylor.  He was a Project Supervisor for the Chickasaw Nation for 22 years.

Mr. Traylor loved the Lord and his family and friends. He cherished his granddaughters very much; each one held a very special place in his heart. As many know he had a love for horses and enjoyed team roping as often as he could, making many great friends along the way.

He is survived by two sons, Heath Traylor and wife Desiree of Ada and Nathan Traylor and wife Abby of Ada; two brothers, Ferlin Traylor and wife Nancy of Gerty and Waymon Traylor of Ada; two sisters, Barbara Traylor of Ada and Genice Fulton of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren, Ashton Sutterfield and husband Nic; Alesha Traylor, Jenna Traylor, Rhemy Traylor, Whelsy Kay Traylor; and one great granddaughter, Hainsley Sutterfield.

Mr. Traylor was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tommy Traylor and one sister, Betty Traylor.

Bearers are Heath Traylor, Nathan Traylor, Ferlin Traylor, Melvin Margerum, James Ogle, and Fred Barrett.  Honorary bearers are Stonie Arterberry, Eldon Johnson and Luke Kimmel.
