EVELYN MORRIS
ADA-Graveside services for Evelyn Ernestine Morris, 79, of Ada were 2:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Rodger Arter officiated.
Mrs. Morris died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born January 24, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Charles F. and Lydia M. Bayley Jones.
She married Jodie Kennedy on November 11, 1950. She later married Harold C. Morris on September 17, 1976. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1978. Mrs. Morris was employed with the Santa Cruz County Office of Education until 1980. She returned to the Ada area about 1995 from California.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kennedy and her husband Craig of Sulphur, OK, and Paula Kennedy Garrett, Shafter, CA; two sons, Daniel J. Kennedy, Lone Grove, OK and Steven A. Kennedy, Kenosha, WI; a brother, Charles F. Jones, Ada; two sisters, Lovene Harris, Meeker and Ella Jean Adams, McAlester; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Allen Jones; and a sister, Billie Eileen Colbert.
