EVELYN HARRIS
ADA-Services for Evelyn Marie Harris, 57, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Denny Truett will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis.
Ms. Harris died Friday, October 10, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born October 5, 1957 in Victorville, California to Glenn and Roberta Steward Harris. She was diagnosed at birth with Down 's syndrome and touched many hearts throughout her life. She attended Sumner School in California and moved to Ada in 1984 from Victorville, CA.
Ms. Harris attended the Victorville Foursquare Church while living in California. She later attended the Ada First Assembly of God Church and The Refuge Foursquare Church of Ada.
Survivors include a brother, Melvin Harris and Charlotte of Ada; nieces and nephews, Lavonna Detter and husband David, Larry Harris and wife Angela, Sherri Coats and husband Danny, David West and wife Debbie, Wayne Harris and wife Terry, Debbie Jones and husband Troy and Don West and wife Leahna; 19 great nieces and great nephews; and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Dwight West.
Bearers will be Larry Harris, David West, Wayne Harris and Don West.
