Evelyn Harris

Evelyn Virginia Harris, 1926 to 2025, left this earthly plane Monday, February 3rd at her home surrounded by family.

Evelyn is survived by two sons, Roger of Ada and John of Seminole. 3 grandchildren, Weston Harris, Caroline Harris and Paul Harris, all of Ada. Also, numerous nieces and nephews in Eastern Oklahoma.

Evelyn Harmon was born in Victor, Oklahoma to Barry and Hattie Harmon along with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She went to nursing school where she met her future husband, Raymond Harris whom she married in 1952. She gave birth in 1953 to twin girls, Beverly and Brenda, both born significantly premature. Sadly, medical technology at the time didn't allow for their survival.

Roger Harris was born in 1955, and John Harris in 1965, both in Del City. In the mid 1980's, Evelyn and Ray moved to Ada to be closer to their kids where they made numerous friends and enjoyed lots of time with grandkids that eventually came along. Husband Ray passed away in 2012 and Evelyn lived independently until her death.
