OLGA McCOWN
ADA-Services for Eva Olga McCown, 74, Norman, formerly of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. McCown died on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Grace Living Center in Norman. She was born January 25, 1933, in Obregon Sonora Mexico to Rosaura Ibarrara Leyva and Jose Maria Ibarra Levya. Mrs. McCown married Dwain McCown, of Ada, on February 16, 1956, in Odessa, Texas. The couple lived most of their 52 years together in Ada, until they recently relocated to Norman in 2003, due to illness.
Mrs. McCown was a homemaker and housewife. She was known for her love of family and wonderful cooking. All who met her were delighted to eat one of Olga's meals.
Survivors include her husband, Dwain, of the home; three sons, James McCown and his wife Dana, Carey, North Carolina; Randall McCown and Tammy, Norman; and Rick McCown and his wife Susan, Norman; beautiful grandchildren, Chynea, Hunter, C. J., Dillon and Belle McCown, of Norman; and Aubrey and Taylor McCown, Carey, North Carolina; one great granddaughter, Makiah, of Norman and another great granddaughter on the way. She is also survived by two sisters, Cleotilde Mendez of Obregon Sonora Mexico; and Rosa Ochoa of Tucson, Arizona; and a brother, Hector Maria Leyva of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by a son, Dwain Jr., age 2, as well as sisters Herlinda Prudhome, Maria Cruz, and Jeriaha Sanchez; a brother, Hilberto Leyva, and numerous other family members.
Bearers are Gayland Stubblefield, Curtis Stubblefield, Bill Bolin, Hunter McCown, Dillon McCown and C. J. Ah You. Honorary bearers will be Jeff Engel, Armando Garcia, Gerald Hatton, and J.B. Bolin, JR.
