Eunice Walston
Services for Eunice Katherine Walston, 93, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bill Sluder will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Walston died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at a local care center. She was born May 8, 1921 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Thomas Jefferson and Emma Peoples Hammons. The Walstons came back to this area in 1981 from LaVerne, California.
She married Kenneth Gerald Walston on February 5, 1937 in Maud, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1992 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Walston was a nurse and received her Licensed Practical Nurse license in 1962. She attended McCurtain Elementary and McLish High School in Fittstown, Oklahoma.
Survivors include two sons, Rev. Gerald Walston and wife Tracy, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Les Walston, of Ada; and one daughter, Myrna Glance and husband John, of Ada: Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Rev. Gerald Walston, John Glance,Hunter McCown, CJ Ah You and John Creach. Honorary bearers will be Wade Walston and Brandon Profitt.
