EULA COURSEY
ADA-Services for Eula Elizabeth Coursey, 95, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Rusty Fuller will officiate. Burial will follow at the Konawa Cemetery.
Mrs. Coursey died Monday, May 9, 2011 at an Oklahoma City nursing home. She was born April 7, 1916 in Conway, Arkansas to George and Mollie Wilson Thompson. She and her family came to Oklahoma by train at the age of 2.
She married Marvin E. Coursey on December 5, 1934. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2000. Mrs. Coursey was homemaker. She was a longtime active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada and was an excellent cook.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Kelley, Independence, KS, Joyce Erwin and her husband Tom, Oklahoma City, and Reta Smock and her husband Jimmie, Shawnee; thirteen grandchildren, Russ Kelley and wife Wanda, Randy Kelley, Phyllis Kelley, Scott Erwin and wife Tammy, Andy Erwin and wife LeAnne, Steven Smock and wife Shonna, Aimee Vanderford and husband Bobby and James Knoles; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Audrey Coursey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years; a daughter, Virginia Sue; a son-in-law, Paul Kelley; a grandson, Craig Kelley; two granddaughters, Angela Erwin and Tina Knoles; and a step-granddaughter, Heather Smock.
Bearers will be Cleve Knoles, Frankie Knoles, James Knoles, J. D. Kelley, Shaun Kelley and Travis Kelley.
