ESTELLE HILL
ADA-Services for Estelle Hill, 92, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Ada, Revs. David Daniel and Bob Langston and Dr. Roberto Escamilla will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hill died Friday, August 31, 2012 at a Norman hospital. She was born on October 4, 1919 at Mill Creek, Oklahoma to Wes and Hettie Harris Clark. She graduated from Mill Creek High School and East Central Normal School.
She married Francis Morey Hill on May 14, 1948 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1997. Mrs. Hill was a Music and Elementary School Teacher at Washita Farms, Savanah, Centrahoma and retired from the Mill Creek School System. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, a tribal member of the Chickasaw Nation and was the great granddaughter of Cyrus Harris, the first Governor of the Chickasaw Nation. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Pontotoc County Retired Teacher's Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Nimmo and her husband David of Ada; a son, Carlyle Hill and his wife LaDona of Ada; a step-daughter, Lindsay Pierce; a daughter-in-law, Kim Hill of Ada; four grandchildren, Michael Nimmo and wife Keren, Denver, CO, Matthew Nimmo, Ada, Cody Hill, Ada, and Carly Hill, Norman; three step-grandchildren, Ryan Rhoads, Little Rock, AR, Bryce Rhoads, Oklahoma City, and Lyndsey Rhoads, Chicago, IL; three great grandchildren, Delilah Nimmo, Sophie Nimmo and Colt Nimmo; three step-great grandchildren, Kennedi Rhoads, Hope Rhoads and Maverick Rhoads; and a cousin, Roberta Penner, Mill Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Howell Hill on June 26, 1994; and a brother, Floyd Clark.
Bearers will be Jim Sanders, Jim Rice, Bob Cantrell, Michael Nimmo, Matthew Nimmo and Cody Hill.
