ERTIES STILES
EUFAULA-Services for Erties Evelyn Stiles, 88, Eufaula, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Joe Dixon and Wendell Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Stiles died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at a Eufaula nursing home. She was born February 12, 1921 in the Egypt community, west of Ada, Oklahoma to Barney and Nora Deatherage Estes. She graduated from Vanoss High School.
She married Vestil Stiles in 1939. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1998. Mrs. Stiles was a receptionist at Valley View Regional Hospital for several years and a member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include a son, Vestil Stiles and his wife Norma, Checotah; a daughter, Kathie Thompson, Tulsa; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Stiles, and a brother, Sherman Estes.
Bearers will be Sammy Roberts, Dennis Story, Floyd Holman, Andy Long, Larry Long and Vincent Stiles. Honorary bearers will be the Rebecca Sunday School Class, Ed Cavener and Farrell Rhoads.
