Ernie Lee Dunlap

May 1, 1952 – August 23, 2020

Ernie Lee Dunlap (Big Ern) left his home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 23, 2020. He was born on May 1 ^st , 1952 in Alhambra California to Merl Layfette and Rose Nell Dunlap.

He married the love of his life Linda Weller on March 5, 1971. He had three children and three grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Linda of the home, a daughter Carol Dunlap of Ada, a daughter Amanda DeLao and husband Darryl of OKC and a son Ernie Dunlap II of Ada. Grandchildren are Emily Rhyne and Anne Dunlap-Rhyne of Ada and Lilah DeLao of Okc and honorary grandchildren. Brother Rodger Dunlap and wife Carolyn, numerous nieces and nephews.

Ernie is best known for being a musician. He played guitar and steel guitar and began playing in musical venues from a young age. He was known as being a straight shooter and loved working in the studio making music. He was a Godly man and a family man.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents and twin grandsons John Jakob and Elijah Thomas Dunlap-Rhyne.

Services are Thursday August 27 ^th , 2020 at Crosspointe Church in Ada at 10:00 A.M.
