Atha Ernestine Landrith Eubank passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 30, 2019 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Ernestine was born November 10, 1933 in Ada, OK to Ernest T. and Atha Kit Blackburn Landrith. She grew up in a large loving family with seven brothers and sisters whom she adored. Ernestine, as well as her brothers and sisters, were lifelong servants of their family, friends, and community. She graduated Byng High School and married her high school sweetheart L. C. Eubank in 1952. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She began her career at Kerr Pump as a bookkeeper before accepting a position with the Pontotoc County Court Clerk Office in 1967. She became the Court Clerk in 2006 until her retirement on April 1, 2013.
Ernestine's passion in life was her cooking for others. Family and friends have loved her hot rolls, plum jelly, cookies, cakes, fried pies, Thanksgiving Dressing, and a little bit of chicken fry.
Love came easily for her, she loved unconditionally without boundaries. She lived for family and friends, and her work, but most importantly lived by the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Survivors include her only child Teena Carol Eubank Ciarlo; granddaughter, Teecia Reme' Ciarlo; great-granddaughter, Gemma Isabelle Ciarlo and soon to arrive, Baby Boy Sky, all of Ada; sisters-in-law, Nova Landrith, Phyllis Kerr and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Herman, Paul and Leon Landrith; and four sisters, Thelma Roberts, Stella Johns, Alma Sales and Omega Johnson.
Bearers will be Bill Nelson, John David Miller, Riley Young, Remo Ciarlo, Joshua Ciarlo, Wayne Joplin, Hugh Brasher, and Steve Kessinger.
