LEON HUBBARD
PAULS VALLEY-Services for Erie Leon Hubbard, 63, Pauls Valley, formerly of the Ada area, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jamie Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery, Stratford.
Mr. Hubbard died Friday, October 22, 2010 at an Ardmore hospital. He was born January 19, 1947 at Ada, Oklahoma to Erie Otho and Addie Mae Muncrief Hubbard. He graduated from Byng High School and enlisted in the National Guard. After serving in the National Guard, he was employed with the Highway Department until he received a surveyor license in 1983. Mr. Hubbard was the owner and operator of Hubbard Land Surveyor Company for 27 years.
He married Martha Jean Ward on October 1, 1993 in Pauls Valley. Mr. Hubbard was a member of the Arbuckle Bassing Club where he won "Sportsman of the Year" this year and he was a drummer in a country band called "Country High".
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hubbard, of the home; a daughter, Terry Viveros, Tulsa; two sons, Jerry Hubbard, Joplin, MO and John Hubbard of North Carolina; three step-daughters; a step-son; eight grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tommy Hubbard and a sister, Jennie Hubbard.
Bearers will be James Whitefield, Orda Self, Dale Knight, Mike Muncrief, Kelly McMillan, and Larry Spoonemore.
