EMOGENE OREBAUGH
ADA-Services for Emogene Orebaugh, 87, Austin, Texas, formerly of Ada and Kingston, are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Keith Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Orebaugh died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, in Austin, Texas. She was born May 9, 1924, to Basil W. and Lou L. Rockwell Duyck at Ada. She graduated from Latta High School and was employed many years as a bookkeeper at Gem Jewelers. She was a member of First Christian Church of Ada for many years and later became a member of Texhoma Southern Baptist Church in Kingston.
She and Berry G. Orebaugh were married Dec. 16, 1951. He died Nov. 11, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Jerel W. Choate and wife Karen, Austin, and David E. Orebaugh, Ada; one daughter, Lou Anne Evans and husband Jim, Lawrenceville, Georgia; and one brother, L.A. Duyck and wife Lee Anne, Plano, Texas.
Bearers are grandsons, Jamie Evans, Loganville, Georgia, Matthew Evans, Winder, Georgia, Blair Evans, Barnwell, South Carolina, Jarrod Choate, Austin, and nephews, Larry Duyck, Lanny Duyck, Leland Duyck and Lyle Duyck. Honorary bearer is grandson Justin Choate, Austin.
