EMOGENE MILLER

ADA-Services for Emogene Cordell Miller, 95, Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. John Haynes officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller died on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born November 13, 1914, at Sherman, Texas, to John R. and Martha Anne Goodson Cordell. She came to this area in the 1920's from Sherman, Texas. She attended school at Francis and graduated from Francis High School. She was a homemaker, worked on the Pontotoc County Election Board, was a member of the Ada Garden Club and music clubs. She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church.

She married Fred L. Miller in January 1934 in Pauls Valley. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Anna Lee Miller Freeman and her husband Dan, Sasakwa; grandchildren, Paul Freeman and Nancy Freeman, Florida; great granddaughters, Katlyn and Kyra Freeman, Florida; and a niece, Susan Jones and her husband David, Chickasha.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 1821, Ada, OK 74821-1821.

Bearers are D. E. Brower, Paul Freeman, Harry Crenshaw, Keith Ailey, Bob Bonar and Joe Richard. Honorary bearers are Bill Guinn, "Pete" Peters and Tony Mondejar.
