Memorial services for Emmitt Wayne Wynn, 57, of Lawton, formerly of Ada are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. The U. S. Navy Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
Emmitt Wayne Wynn was born January 20, 1961 in Ada, OK & passed away December 14, 2018 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Emmitt attended Byng schools K-12, a graduate of the class of 1979 and studied at East Central University, participating in the ROTC program. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, woodworking, & carpentry. During his lifetime, he had worked as an EMT in Oklahoma City & Shawnee, a mortician's assistant, a long haul trucker with J. B. Hunt, a self-employed contractor remodeling homes, and served in the United States Navy. He served on the USS Independence, USS Mahan, & the USS Bataan during his Naval career. Emmitt received an honorable medical discharge from the Navy & was a resident of the Ft. Sill Veteran's Center at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Nunnally Wynn in 1964 and his father, E.M. "Mann" Wynn in 2012.
He is survived by stepmother, Betty Gelvin & husband, Odell of Fairland; brother, Hugh Wynn & wife, Jeannie of Choctaw; sisters Sharon Wiser of Noble and Regina Miller & husband, Ronnie of Ardmore; stepbrother Rod Guinn & wife, Kathy of Divide, CO; and many loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Emmitt Wayne Wynn.
