EMMA HILL
TECUMSEH- Memorial services for Emma Louise Hill, 82, Tecumseh, formerly of Ada, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Wewoka Kingdom Hall. Elder Randall Patterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada.
Mrs. Hill died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at a Tecumseh nursing home. She was born July 28, 1929 in Decherd, Franklin County, Tennessee to Major Jasper Bolin and Annie L. Lock Bolin.
She married Walter Lee Hill on July 3, 1946 in Texarkana, AR. He died March 23, 1977 in Seymour, Baylor County, Texas. She and her family moved from Texas and settled in Johnson County, Oklahoma in 1960. They later moved to Pontotoc County in the early 1960's living first in Stonewall and later Ada.
Mrs. Hill was a homemaker until the mid 1970's, then she worked as a cook at the Stonewall High School until retiring in the mid 1990's. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Ada.
Survivors include six daughters, Wanda L. Williamson of Shawnee, Peggy J. Cavazos of MS, Nancy S. Hill of SC, Virginia G. McLaughey of Shawnee, Lelia J. Hill of Oklahoma and Melissa R. Hunter of Sasakwa; and four sons, Major Hill of Tulsa, Nathan D. Hill, James D. Hill, and Paul R. Hill all of Shawnee.
