EMILY HOWARD

ADA-Services for Emily Jewel Howard, 81, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Pennington United Methodist Church in Reagan, Revs. Jerry Imotichey and Rufus Eyachabe will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. Family and friends may call at the church from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until service time.

Mrs. Howard died Monday, October 6, 2008 at her home. She was born April 11, 1927 at Mill Creek, Oklahoma to Loshman and Phoebe Keel Columbus. She attended Carter Seminary School in Ardmore. She moved to Ada about 1985 from Los Angeles, California.

She married Raymond Vincent Howard. He died March 28, 1996 at Okmulgee. Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and a nurse's aide in California. She was a member of the Pennington United Methodist Church in Reagan and was an active church worker.

Survivors include a special friend, William Baker; two daughters, Joyce Wesley, Milburn, and Ruth Howard, Ada; a son, Luther John, Tishomingo; a sister, Hannah Corsello, Tishomingo; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.

Bearers will be her grandsons, David Cripps, Brandon John, Travis John, Bryan Howard, Robert Howard, Adrian John, Bryson Paulin, and Wyatt Hartsfield.
