Elvin Hammons

Services for Elvin Dean Hammons, 92, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bob Payne will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery at Wynnewood.

Mr. Hammons passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at an Ada assisted living center. He was born February 14, 1926 at Roady, OK to Lee and Essie Flowers Hammons. He attended Roady schools.

He married DeLois Hartigan June 23, 1964. Mr. Hammons retired from Mustang Fuel, which later became O. G. & E., as a pipeline foreman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, DeLois, of the home; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Virgil, Murphy, Yual and Arnold; and a sister, Margie Jenkins.

Bearers will be David Gaither, Tucker Gaither, Butch Hill, Mark Hill, Chad Hill, Reece Hill and Randy Johnson.
