ELSIE BINKLEY
ADA-Services for Elsie Victoria Petersen Binkley, 91, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Rev. Don Griffin officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Maize, Kansas.
Mrs. Binkley died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at a local nursing home. She was born Feb. 21, 1919, to Carl Otto and Hadvick Matilda Johnson Petersen at Omaha, Neb. She came to this area in 2000 from Maize, Kansas. She was affiliated with Asbury United Methodist.
She and Warren Jay Binkley were married in Omaha, Neb. He died April 3, 1985, in Wichita, Kansas.
Survivors include one son, John M. Binkley and wife Betty, Ada; two daughters, Donna R. Simon and husband Franklin, Colwich, Kansas, and Sharon K. Savini and husband Don, Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Helen Marion Cockrill, Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Leona Hindmen; two brothers, Herbert Carl Petersen and Alfred Paul Petersen; and two grandchildren.
