Ellen Todd
Memorial services for Ellen Marie Todd, 88, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9th at Asbury United Methodist Church. Her grandson, Rev. Travis Muse will officiate.
Mrs. Todd passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Ada Care Center. She was born October 13, 1927 at Pittsburg, Kansas to John and Pauline Pillich Cerneka. Following the death of her father, her mother married James Stansel, a traveling photographer. She and her family moved to Ada in 1945.
She married Ben H. Todd May 25, 1946. The marriage was blessed with four children. Bardie, Gloria, Johnny and Rickie. Ellen and Ben built Lakewood Golf Course and following Ben's death December 12, 1979, Ellen operated the golf course.
Survivors include son, Rickie Todd of Ada; daughter, Gloria Muse and husband Harold of Ada; ten grandchildren, David Muse, Ada, Travis Muse, Ada, Shannon Todd, Keller, TX, Brandon Todd, Ada, Shanda Nelson, Yukon, Jason Todd, Oklahoma City, Jay Todd, Oklahoma City, Justin Todd, Ada, Jake Todd, Ada and Jeb Todd, Ada; ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Stansel and wife Rita of Escondido, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben Todd; son, Johnny Todd; son, Bardie Todd; and her twin sister, Helen.
