ELDON O. HUMPHERS
STONEWALL-Services for Eldon O. Humphers, 70, of Stonewall, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Purdy Cemetery south of Lindsay.
Mr. Humphers died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born March 22, 1943 in Artesia, California to Eldred Odell "Hoot" Humphers and Velma Pauline Freeman Humphers. He graduated from Stonewall High School and East Central University.
He married Danna Lou Shoemake on October 5, 1962. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2006. He later married Martha Lou Horn Castoe on March 26, 2009. Mr. Humphers was an Electrician and later was employed as a Senior Safety and Loss Control Consultant for Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange. He attended the First Baptist Church in Ada and was a former member of the Ada Lions Club. Mr. Humphers served in the U. S. Marines from 1960 until being honorably discharged in 1966.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Humphers, of the home; three sons, Geoff Humphers and wife Tara, Ada, Jeremy Humphers and wife Becky, Norman, Michael Humphers and wife Kandi, Ada; one daughter, Amanda Humphers, Granite Falls, WA; two stepsons, Wade Castoe, Allen, Jason Castoe, Allen; a sister, Ruth Kee, Stroud; brother, Randall Humphers, Willcox, AZ; and eight grandchildren, Clint Humphers, Lauryn Humphers and Lyndi Humphers, all of Ada; Jacob Humphers and Kenady Humphers, both of Norman; Briley Humphers, Ada, Nathaniel Ralls and Danna-Lynn Ralls, Granite Falls, Washington.
Bearers will be Clint Humphers, Jacob Humphers, Darrell Kee, Dave Baber, Skipper Werth and Stan Bray.
