ED CAMERON
STONEWALL-Services for Edward Lee "Ed" Cameron, 68, Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Stonewall, Rev. Melvin Brooking will officiate. Burial will follow at Centrahoma Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Cameron died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his home. He was born July 15, 1940 in Coal County, Oklahoma to Edward Marvin and Nina Evelyn Heck Cameron. He lived in Coal County most of his life and graduated from Centrahoma High School.
He married Barbara Stonecipher on May 29, 1964 at Lula, Oklahoma. Mr. Cameron was a Supervisor for the Department of Transportation, retiring after 44 years of service. He was a Baptist and a member of the Bright Star Masonic Lodge #113 in Stonewall. He served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cameron, of the home; one daughter, Lecia Gibson and husband John, Tulsa; one son, Robert Cameron and wife Sabrina, Maud; four sisters, Phyllis Lammon, Lula, Nell Howell, Centrahoma, Ann Casey, Coalgate, and Helen Brooking, Ada; one brother, John Cameron, Stonewall; four grandchildren, Chance, Corbin, Audreana, and Natasha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bob Cameron.
Bearers will be Boyd Casey, Mike Lynch, Marvin Lynch, Craig Stonecipher, David Stonecipher, and Kevin Casuk. Honorary bearers will be the 1958 graduating class of Centrahoma High School.
