Obituary

Edna Mae Cohee Green

Edna Mae Cohee Green was born May 28, 1918, in Sandy

Settlement in Ada, Oklahoma; the second of three girls born to

Albert Cohee and Viola Clark Cohee.

Edna attended Athens School in Sandy Settlement near ADA. She

accepted Christ at an early age and attended Athens Baptist

Church in Sandy Settlement.

Edna married the love of her life Joseph Ethen Green and moved

to California where she remained until God called her home.

Edna was an excellent cook and housekeeper; she worked many

years for the owners of Hidden Valley Ranch as a Housekeeping

Supervisor until they relocated. She later worked as a Head Cook

and Housekeeping Supervisor for Reverend Dr. Clayton Russell,

Pastor of the Church of Divine Guidance until she retired.

Edna loved bid whisk, wrestling, traveling, and fishing, she was

known as a generous person and opened her heart and home to

many. She will greatly missed.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters,

and two stepchildren.

Edna leaves to cherish her precious memories sister Jenny Membere

of Oklahoma City, two stepsisters Virginia James, and Sandra Miller

of Oklahoma City, three stepbrothers: O.C. Jr. of McAlester OK,

Gordon Frazier of San Jose, CA, and Edward Eugene Frazier of

Oakland, CA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

including her best friend, Suanna Watford and Sue's family who

fondly called her granny.
