EDDIE WOOD
STONEWALL-Services for Eddie Lee Wood, 62, Stonewall, are 12:00 noon Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Ray Perry and Tommy Beddow will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mr. Wood died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born October 23, 1945 at Stonewall, Oklahoma to Lewis "Jack" L. and Mildred A. Thompson Wood. He attended grade school at Fox and graduated from Stonewall High School in 1963. He also attended East Central University.
Mr. Wood was a surveyor for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, retiring with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Stonewall First Baptist Church, an avid reader and loved sports of all kinds.
Survivors include his parents, Jack and Mildred Wood, Stonewall; a brother, Winford Wood and wife Gail, Stonewall; three sisters, Marilyn Wiles and husband Dean, Tishomingo, Angelia Marion and husband Willie, Ada, and Rita Poshard and husband Jeff, Lawton; four nephews, Terry Wood, Holdenville, Brandon Marion, Ada, Michael Marion, Ada, and Jonathan Wiles, Ada; six nieces, Rachael Yates, Norman, Sabrina Scroggins, Iowa City, IA, Melanie Huston, Ardmore, Hollie Marion, Ada, Ashleigh Middleton, Lawton, and Amberlee Middleton, Lawton; and 16 great nephews and nieces.
Bearers will be his four nephews, Terry Wood, Brandon Marion, Michael Marion, and Jonathan Wiles, and Lance Yates, and Jon Huston.
