EDDIE WEAVER
ADA-Services for Eddie Weaver, 82, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Reaper Baptist Church, Elder Charles Miller and Rev. Victor Crawford will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Weaver died Friday, December 14, 2012 at an Ardmore hospital. He was born May 16, 1930 at Boynton, Oklahoma to Henry and Willie Mae Brown Weaver. He attended Banneker Elementary School and Dunbar High School in Okmulgee, OK.
He married Betty Weaver on September 3, 1967. Mr. Weaver was employed by Wickham's Packing Plant and Reeves Packing Plant as a Supervisor/Foreman until his retirement. Mr. Weaver was a longtime member of Reaper Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and on the Board of Trustees. He was also a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Weaver, of the home; three sons, Michael Rogers, Ada, Eddie "Tunka" Wright, Ada, and Craig Rogers, Ada; four daughters, Tina Rogers, Ada, Carmen Weaver, Ada, Pamelia Ali and husband Mohamed, Ada, and LaShawn Gallimore and husband Billy, Mesquite, TX; one sister, Virginia Matthews, Goodyear, AZ; two brothers, Henry Weaver, Jr., Wewoka, and Johnny Weaver, Ada; a step-brother, Cleo Barkus, Palo Alto, CA; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
Bearers will be Harvey Gray, Kirk Blue, Len Cooper, Ron Brown, Bud Seals, Bobby Smith, Lester Albert, Donald Booker, Walter Grant, William Harrison and Billy Blue, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Reggie Seals, Steve Kiel, Tyrone Moore, and Billy Joe Walker. Flower bearers will be Nacole Brown, Janisha Johnson, Regina Walker, Sheila King, Twilah Blue, Sharon Quarterman, Sheila Sturgeon and Teresa Snodgrass.
