EDDIE LEWIS, JR.
WARREN, MICHIGAN-Services for Eddie Lee Lewis, Jr., 48, Warren, Michigan, formerly of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Monday at the St. James Church of God in Christ, Revs. Charles Miller and Alfred Douglas will officiate. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery near Ada.
Mr. Lewis died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at his home. He was born September 25, 1962 in Ada, Oklahoma to Eddie Lee and Parilee Blythe Lewis. He attended Ada grade schools and graduated with honors from Millwood High School in Oklahoma City in May, 1980. He continued his education in a dual degree program at Clark University and Georgia Tech University, both in Atlanta, GA. He received undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and his Physics degree from Clark University. Later, he received his MBA degree from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California. He was currently working on his Master's degree in engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Michigan.
He married Letitia Garner in 2005. Mr. Lewis was currently employed at General Dynamics as a lead engineer. He was baptized at Unity Baptist Church in Oklahoma City on March 29, 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Letitia Lewis, of the home; two sons, Joshua Alexander Lewis, Ontario, California and Cameron Jacob Lewis, Warren, Michigan; a daughter, Tameika Nicole Gaines, Oklahoma City; his mother, Parilee Lewis-Rivers, Dallas, TX; one brother, Patrick Alan Lewis, Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Xavier, Triniti, Nicole and Sidnee all of Oklahoma City; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and other relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, his grandmother, Pearl Blythe and his grandfather, George Brooks.
Bearers will be Roy Brannon, Aaron Liverpool, Freddie Moore, Brian Foster, Nelson Lewis, Jr., Antonio Townsend, David King and Leroy McFadden. Honorary bearers will be Frank Wilson, Archie Hill, Doug Williams, Larry Carter, Glen Gude and Franklin Bruce. Flower bearers will be Tiffany Watson, Trenda Douglas, Shawn Douglas, Sheila King, Terri Townsend, LaShonda Townsend and Hollie Douglas.
