EDDIE HASKINS
ADA-Services for Eddie Lee Haskins, 62, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Center Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Freeman Whitlock will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Haskins died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at his home. He was born November 16, 1948 in Ada, Oklahoma to Clyde R. and Geraldine Welch Haskins. He attended Vanoss grade school and graduated from Vanoss High School in 1967.
He married Donna Moore on September 25, 1971. Mr. Haskins was a Receiving Manager for Wal-Mart, retiring in July 2010 after 35 years of service. He served in the National Guard from 1968 until 1971 in the C Company, 2nd Battalion 1/180th Infantry.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Haskins, of the home; one son, Bryan Edward Haskins and wife Julie, Newcastle; his mother, Geraldine Haskins, Ada; two brothers, Jerry Haskins and wife Geraldine, Ashdown, OK, and Jimmy Haskins, Ada; and his grandchildren, Gracie Faith and Seth Edward Haskins, Newcastle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Haskins; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Cecile Moore.
Bearers will be Marvin Bender, Ron Bender, T. L. Carter, Tim Shropshire, Kevin Andrews, and Tony Nowlin. Honorary bearers will be Wal-Mart Employees.
