EDDIE BROWN
ADA-Services for Eddie Jay Brown, 53, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hickory Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Pete Wall will of officiating. Burial follows at Hickory Hill Cemetery. Wake services will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Criswell Chapel.
Mr. Brown died on Friday, December 28, 2008, at his home. He was born October 15, 1955, at Ada to Frank Nelson and Julia Parnacher-Smith. He lived in this area most of his life, and attended Willard Elementary and Ada High School. He attended the National Iron Workers Training Program for American Indians in Montana. He was an iron worker and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Brown was a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard for 21 years. He enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, dog walking, boxing, wrestling (Ada High), and athletics.
Survivors include three brothers, Joe Brown and his wife Mary LaDonna, Ada, Daniel Smith, and Roy D. Smith; five sisters, Mary Brown, Schulter; Margaret Johnson, Ada; Barbara Harmon, Terlton, OK, Betty Jennings, and Shirley; special niece, Robin Harjo; great niece, Kayden Belle Rodgers; three other nieces, Kelly Beach, Kathey Rutledge, and Holly Bess; nephews, Kevin Manuel, Robert Rutledge, Justin Rutledge, and John Rogers; three uncles, Lloyd Parnacher, Floyd Parnacher, and Calvin Parnacher; and an aunt, Francis Brokeshoulder; and numerous other relatives and family members.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank Nelson, Julia Parnacher-Smith, Patricia McBride Brown and Waldo Brown; two sisters, Pattie Grant and Terri Bess; a nephew, Michael Keef, and a great niece, Chanoa Dawn Rutledge.
Bearers are Mark Factor, Adrian Keith Smith, Shelton David Smith, Freddy Sweet, Ricky Sweet, and Ron White.
