TUCKER MAYHAN
ADA-Services for E. W. "Tucker" Mayhan, 95, Ada, are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. His nephew, Rev. Steve Mayhan, will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Mayhan died Friday, April 13, 2012, at Norman. He was born Sept. 17, 1916, to Sylvester P. and Lucy Burnett Mayhan at Porum. He had lived most of his life in Ada. He was employed as an oilfield bulldozer operator at Don Owen's Trucking and D&D Dozer and worked at Anderson Quarries. Mr. Mayhan served with the U.S. Army 45th Division in World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He and Lois Royster were married Aug. 14, 1945, in Ada. She died Feb. 2, 2002.
Survivors include his son, Joel Mayhan and daughter-in-law Cheryl, Yukon; his daughter, Sharon Levy and son-in-law Edward, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; three grandsons, Jeffrey Mayhan and his wife Kacie, Dallas, Joshua Mayhan, Oklahoma City, and Jonathan Mayhan, Edmond; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends..
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde Mayhan, Jim Mayhan, Charlie Mayhan and Tommy Mayhan and four sisters, Ellen Sparks, Ada Carnes, Joyce Hickman and Reba Dora Nelson.
Bearers are Jeffrey Mayhan, Joshua Mayhan, Jonathan Mayhan, Kevin Atkinson, Terry Baulch and Bruch Mayhan.
