Durlene Perkins
Services for Durlene Perkins, 78 of Burleson, TX, formerly of the Tupelo area are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery near Wapanucka.
Mrs. Perkins died Friday, October 23, 2015 at a Ft. Worth hospital. She was born May 11, 1937 in Coalgate to John Robert and Maggie Selene Cox Shepherd. She graduated from Tupelo High School.
She married Melvin W. Perkins July 21, 1956 in Seminole. Mrs. Perkins was a homemaker and was also a seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin W. Perkins of the home; her children, Phyllis Perkins and Keith Perkins, both of Burleson, TX, Rie DeSoto, San Antonio, TX, Michelle Perkins and Carey Perkins, both of Burleson, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Dale Harmon and Lucas Stonecipher, Jr.; and a sister, DeLoris Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tony Perkins in 1999; grandson, Tommy Perkins; five brothers; and two sisters.
Bearers will be Danny Wells, Tyler Ahlsted, Joshua Perkins and Richard Hathcock.
