Doy Houston
Doy Alan Houston, 75, of Ada, passed away peacefully at his home on February 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the First Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Jarrod Presley and Rev. Brandon Baca officiating. Burial will follow at Pryor Cemetery in Stuart, OK. The family will receive friends from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Criswell Funeral Home.
Doy was born on July 17, 1949, in Holdenville to Cairl James and Roxie Blanche Parks Houston. He married the love of his life, Linda Jean Presley, on August 2, 1972, in Sherman, TX. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked as a probation parole officer for many years, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication.
Doy is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, of the home; son, James Houston and wife, Lynette, of Midwest City; daughters, Kimberly Wiley and husband, Steve, of Greenwood, AR, and Kymberly Ray and husband, Michael, of Purcell. He is also survived by his brother, Tony Houston and wife, Veronica, of Midlothian, TX; sisters, Kathy Wilcox of Durant, Gwen Pattison of Denton, TX, and Jackie Young of McAlester; as well as eight grandchildren: Ashley Baca and husband, Brandon; Colton Allen; Shaylynn Allen; JT Berry; Ashley Sharum and husband Keith; Julie Francis and husband Connor; Jordan Wiley and wife Cassandra; and Hunter Wiley. Doy was also blessed with 19 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James Houston and Don Houston, and four sisters, Marie Gist, Evelyn Tubbs, Rubye Legon, and Edith Chase.
Serving as bearers are Michael Ray, Colton Allen, Jordan Wiley, Hunter Wiley, JT Berry, and Darrin Clinton. Honorary bearers include his great-grandsons.
Doy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
