Douglas Seals

Services for Douglas Seals, 82, of Ada will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Reaper Baptist Church, Rev. Famous Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Flat Cemetery near Maxwell.

Mr. Seals passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 near Ada. He was born July 8, 1936 at the Maxwell Community, northwest of Ada to Willie Seals, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Brown Seals. He attended Napier school in Ada.

Mr. Seals was employed with C. M. Mays Lumber Company and Martin's Meat Market for many years. He was a member of True Vine Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include his longtime friend of 31 years, Halley Harris, of the home; five children, Doug Seals, Jr. of Madill, Deremy Washington of Oklahoma City, Terrance Washington of Ada, Dori Seals of Oklahoma City and Donna Washington of Delaware; a brother, Willie Seals, Jr. of Ada; sister, Bertha Seals of Ada; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Johnnie Mae Seals; a sister, Gussie McKenzie; and five brothers, Calvin Seals, Raymond Seals, Curt Seals, Eli Seals and Walt Seals.

Bearers will be Reggie Seals, Tony Jeffers, Craig Rogers, Mike Rogers, Calvin Seals and Terry Luckey.
