Services for Douglas Quinton "2 Braids" Thomas, 42, of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Chickasaw Community Center in Ada, OK, Pastor John Stevenson will officiate. Burial will follow at John Q. Thomas Cemetery in Stonewall, OK.

Mr. Thomas died Thursday, February 20, 2025 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born January 11, 1983 to John Quincy and Judy Elaine Brock Thomas.

He was employed with the Chickasaw Nation in the I.T. Department.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Thomas of Stonewall, OK; three brothers, John Milburn Thomas, San Francisco, CA, Tommy Thomas, Stonewall, OK and Sammy Thomas and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Rosa Thomas McBroom, Stillwater, OK; one grandson, Noah Harjo; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas; maternal grandparents, Ed and Ginger Brock; and paternal grandparent, Milburn and Belzora Thomas.

Bearers will be, Max Barnoski, Jimmy Link, Christian Barrett, Gabriel McBroom, Chris Harjo and Buddy Wesley.  Honorary bearers are Faun Harjo, Metrie Thomas, Matthew Barnoski, Kendrick Harjo, D.J. Scott, and Emanuel Valdez.
