DOROTHY TERRY
MAXWELL-Services for Dorothy Aleene Terry, 92, Maxwell, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, Revs. Cary Gerth and Glen Eaves will officiate. Burial will follow at Box X Cemetery.
Mrs. Terry died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at a local nursing home. She was born October 1, 1918 at Maxwell, Oklahoma to Arthur P. and Lizzie L. Rutledge Nelson. She attended Galey and Summers Chapel schools.
She married A. C. Terry on November 10, 1941 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Terry was a homemaker, a longtime active member of the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, and formerly a member of the Home Demonstration Club. She was a seamstress and enjoyed working on crafts.
Survivors include five sons, Art Terry and his wife Bernie, Ada, Giles Terry and friend Carol, Ada, Gailen Terry and his wife Cheryl, Ada, Joe Terry and his wife Darlene, Galey, and Scott Terry, Ada; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Shelby Terry, and five brothers.
Bearers will be her sons.
