DOROTHY LUCAS
ADA-Services for Dorothy Yvonne Lucas, 84, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Lucas died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born July 17, 1927 in Center, Oklahoma to Doug and Mary Sparks Makintubee. She attended Center and Ada schools.
She married Charles Lucas on March 20, 1966. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2005. Mrs. Lucas was a seamstress for Blue Bell/Wrangler and had also worked as a clerk at Gibson's Discount Store. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Whitlock and her husband Clayton of Wewoka, and Tammy Lucas of Norman; two sons, Charlie Kirkley, Jr. of Cyril, OK, and Terry Don Rose of Port Lavaca, TX; two step-sons, Thurman Lucas and Tommy Lucas, both of Washington, D.C.; her grandchildren, Pamela and Sean Jeffrey of Anna, TX, and Brenda and Joe Pasquali of Coalgate; two step grandchildren, Marvella Phillips and Clayton Whitlock, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Reigny Jeffrey, Dray Phillips, and Daycee and Dawson Phillips.
She was preceded in death by sons, Donald Kirkley and Orville Kirkley, and a great grandson, Joshua Murray.
Bearers will be her grandsons.
