STONEWALL-Graveside services for Dorothy LaVerne Davis, 67, of Stonewall are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery near Tupelo, Rev. David Gray will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home. She was born March 23, 1947 in Tupelo, Oklahoma to J.C. and Lillie Trailor Archer. She graduated from Tupelo High School.
She married Joe Davis on April 10, 1976 in Stonewall. Mrs. Davis was the Stonewall High School secretary for over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Davis, of the home; two sons, Brian Davis and Jody Davis, both of Stonewall; her mother, Lillie Archer of Tupelo; a brother, Dolphus Archer of Tupelo; grandchildren, Mackenzie Davis and Katie Campbell; and other relatives and friends.
