Funeral services for Doris Mae Winn, 87, of Roff, are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Fitzhugh United Methodist Church; Stephanie Wilson will officiate.

Doris Winn was welcomed home with open arms by her husband, Harold Winn, her daughter, Starla Poke, who passed away at the age of 26, and her twin baby boys, Ron and Don, she never got to hold in her arms. Doris passed away at the age of 87.

She lovingly cared for her husband, and continued caring for her brother-in-law, sister, and niece.

Doris was an advocate for the volunteer fire department in Flint Ridge almost ten years and was the clerk for the town of Fitzhugh for several years. She was passionate about everything that she participated in and volunteered for. She loved to cross stitch and made lots of special gifts for people over the years.

She didn’t just help raise children-she helped raise kindness, courage, and love. Some aunts are special, but she was extraordinary. She stitched love into every day, turning ordinary moments into lifelong memories. The children she helped raise will always carry her warmth and laughter in their smiles.
