DORIS CATHEY
CLINTON, AR-Graveside services for Doris Pauline Cathey, 73, Clinton, Arkansas, are 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. David Gray officiating.
Mrs. Cathey died Jan. 1, 2010, at a Little Rock, Arkansas, hospital. She was born July 16, 1936, in Ada, to Clarence Gordon and Bertha Alma Teel Thurman. She graduated from Latta High School and was a housekeeper.
She married Floyd Marvin Cathey Sr. Dec. 5, 1956, in Ada. He died July 1, 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Floyd Marvin Cathey Jr., Clinton, Arkansas, and Dennis Bryant and wife Linda, Naperville, Illinois; three daughters, Darlene Thompson and husband George, Elko, Nevada, Norma Cathey, Clinton, Arkansas, and Sandra Leija, Austin, Texas, and Patricia Heiser Sr. and husband Donald, Clinton, Arkansas; two brothers, Dennis Thurman, Ada, and Don Thurman; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie Bennett, Teresa Browning, Sarah Jennings, Heather Jennings, KayLea Gonzales, Justin Byrd, Stormie Heiser, Donald Heiser Jr., Chase Heiser, and Jennie and Jared Cathey; and four great-grandchildren, Carl Brock, Shane Brock, Rene Browning and Rebecca Browning.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Sadie Sargent, Reba Grissom, Georgia Wagnon, Velma Brumbelew and Thelma Ellis; and two brothers, Paul Thurman and Corbett Thurman; and a nephew, Raymond Dale Thurman.
