DORA PITMAN
ADA-Graveside services for Dora Bell Pitman, 88, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dale Cemetery in Dale, Oklahoma. Rev. Jasper Ligon will officiate.
Mrs. Pitman died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at her home. She was born October 16, 1919 at Inola, Oklahoma to John Henry and Lydia Elizabeth Bailey Ham. She moved to this area in 2003 from Seminole.
She married Troy Pitman in 1950 at Gainesville, Texas. He died September 30, 2004 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Pitman was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Jim Pitman and wife Danette, Ada; a daughter, Glenda Groethe, of the home; two sisters, Jean Colwell, Seminole, and Georgia Ham, Shawnee; six grandchildren, Char Dignan, Laura Ulin, Jennifer Holmen, Karina Groethe, Michael Pitman, and Emily Kiser; thirteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Donna Sue Scheele, and a granddaughter, Brenda Kay Scheele.
