DONNA VAN TASSEL

ADA-Donna Sue Van Tassel, 69, of Ada, died April 7, 2014. No services are planned at this time. She was born August 8, 1944 in Bakersfield, CA to Harry and Juanita Edith Winters Miller. She graduated high school in Kerman, CA.

Donna lived in Bakersfield, CA for 27 years before moving to Oklahoma in 2003. She and Kenneth Van Tassel were married in 1963. He preceded her in death in March 26, 2013.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawnett Smith of Ada, Kelli Ashford and her husband Doug of Kingman, AZ; life partner, Gerald Birt of the home; brother-in-law, Bob Van Tassel of Flippin, AR; brother-in-law, P.R. "Shorty" Hickingbottom of Brawley, CA; sister-in-law, Wanda Randall of Bull Head City, AZ; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Odis Dunn; sister, Betty Dunn; nephew, Bill Dunn; sister-in-law, Deloris Van Tassel; sister-in-law, Loretta Hickingbottom; and husband, Kenneth Van Tassel.
