A memorial service for Hershell Dewayne Hampton, 76, of Ada and Donna Lou Byers Hampton, 72, of Ada, are 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home, Rev. Dan Cusher will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM on Tuesday.

Mr. Hampton passed away June 29, 2023 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.  He was born December 11, 1946 in Ada to Collin Hershell and Jessie Wylie Hampton.

Mrs. Hampton passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 in Ada.  She was born July 24, 1951 in Sulphur to Henry G. and Susie Stidham Byers.

Hershell and Donna were married On September 14, 1969. Hershell was a truck driver for over 40 years and couldn't bear to be inside when the weather was nice. He enjoyed sitting in his shed tinkering. Donna was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved to cook and make everyone's plates and had a love for thrifting and shopping.

Survivors include their son, Ronald Hampton and wife Debbie; daughter, Cynthia Beard; and four grandchildren, Amber Hampton, Samantha Hampton, Justin Beard and Michael Beard.

Mr. Hampton is also survived by his sister, Jean Gunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Hampton is also survived by her brother-in-law, Dwight Hart; sister-in-law, Barbara Byers; three sisters, Betty Gentry, Lois Huddleston, and Linda Rodorigo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marvin and A.D. Byers; sister, Kate Hart; brother-in-law's, Alvin Chambers, Frank Rodorigo, Jerry Gentry and Richard Huddleston; and niece, Michelle Guerin.
