DONNIE DUNCAN

ADA-Services for Donalda Jean "Donnie" Duncan, 73, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Dr. Pat Kilby and Rev. John Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Duncan died Wednesday, January 1, 2009 at a local hospital. She was born July 5, 1935 at Duncan, Oklahoma to Marshall L. and Grace Deadwiley Thomas. She attended Duncan schools.

She married Jerry D. Duncan on August 15, 1952. She and her family moved to Ada in October 1965 from Ardmore. Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker and also retired from Pre-Paid Legal Services where she worked in the Attorney Resources Department. She was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry D. Duncan, of the home; two sons, Dr. Jerry N. Duncan, Ada, and Mike Duncan, Woodward; two brothers, Randy Thomas, Duncan, and Paul Thomas and wife Judy, Lafayette, LA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Rhynes and husband Garrett, Ada, Josh Duncan, Colorado Springs, CO, Denver Duncan and wife Heather, Oklahoma City, and Natalie Duncan, Oklahoma City; two great grandchildren, Cale Rhynes and Daxx Duncan; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Sink, Allen, TX; brother-in-law, Don Duncan, Tulsa; and many beloved nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Robbie Duncan and Jeffrey Scott Duncan.

Bearers will be Glen Griffin, Guy Milner, Jerry Wells, Verdo Hooker, Vernon Robinson, and Bill Gentry. Honorary bearers will be the Deacons at the First Baptist Church.
