ADA-Graveside services for Donald Lee Jones, 78, Ada, are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Midland Cemetery, Heather Hanan officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard at the cemetery.
Mr. Jones died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 14, 1934, to Jack and Leona James Jones near the Egypt community. He attended Vanoss Schools and lived in this area all of his life. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he had been employed as a structural technician for 35 years. Mr. Jones served in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Jones and Betty Embry were married Feb. 18, 1956, at Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; a daughter, Lisa Hanan, Shattuck; two sons, Ronald Jones and Joe Don Jones, both of Ada; two brothers, Dale Jones and Terry Jones; four sisters, Bonnie, Reba, Joleta and Charlotte; six grandchildren, Heather, Jacob, Caleb, Tyrel, Mallory and Lacey; and two great-grandchildren, Larissa and Ian.
Bearers will be Roy Don Hanan, John Embry, Phillip Skillern, Jacob Hanan, Caleb Hanan and Tyrel Jones.
