Donald Gregory Fourqurean
Born in Kermit, TX on September 12, 1960, to Donald F. and Betty Fourqurean. He was raised in Jal, NM where he was an active member of the Boy Scouts, loved motorbikes, little league baseball, and the challenge of difficult model cars. He graduated from Jal High School in 1979.
His lifelong passion was restoring vintage Ford Mustangs to their original condition, meticulous in every detail. Upon graduation he attended New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, NM where he studied auto mechanics, body repair and painting. Upon completion he became employed by the Atlantic Richfield Oil Corporation where he served as Sr. Pumping Supervisor for 12 years. He then relocated to Silver City, NM where he graduated Sum Cum Laude with a criminal justice degree. He then moved to Norman, OK to attend OU Law School. He then moved to Ada where he was employed by Barney Ward, Attorney at Law, until 2005. Greg then gained employment with Gordon Melson J.D., and retired Federal Judge where he worked for many years. Greg loved the law and had an incredible work ethic displaying personal best effort to each and every client regardless of ability to pay.
Greg had a strong conviction and passion for preserving and defending the constitutional rights of every client, and that it was a duty to render honest legal services, not a choice.
Greg was a kindhearted man who committed to the Lord through confirmation at First Presbyterian Church of Jal, NM. He loved his family and all animals. He always enjoyed holidays and family events and the company of many beloved pets.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald F. Fourqurean; paternal grandparents, Clinton and Ruby Fouraurean; and maternal grandparents, John W. and Ruth Murphy. Survivors include his loving mother, Betty Fourqurean of Ada, OK; one sister, Karen, and brother-in-law, Mark Kent of Austin, TX; one son, Christian Fourqurean of Ada, OK; a daughter, Brooke Fourqurean or Albuquerque, NM; two granddaughters, nephews, nieces, and grandniece.
